Jake Zemke swept the 1st race weekend on his new ride at Jordan Suzuki. I'm not a fan of Zemke so I hope this isn't a common occurrence.

In race 1, Larry Pegram pulled out a very close win on the Ducati. He was not so fortunate in race 2 as he crashed out from the lead.

Aaron Yates had a crash in practice and his legs were run over by another rider that was close behind. It could have been much worse for him AND the other rider if not for a quick move around Yates bike. Yates suffered a broken leg and will probably be out a few rounds. Yates had been on pole for the weekend and looked very competitive.

Race 2 saw Tommy Hayden take his 1st ever win in the Superbike class! Way to go Tommy! Rockstar Makita Suzuki needs some new stars now that Spies and Mladin have moved on. I thought Hayden would naturally fill in and I hope this is the start of good things to come.
