Romain Grosjean will join DAMS for the two races at Hockenheim. He will take the place of
Jerome d'Ambrosio, whose Management Team has made him take a rather strange time-out for this race: "With testing strictly controlled in this category, Gravity Sport Management has made this decision in order to analyse the reasons why the d'Ambrosio/DAMS pairing has been unable to fully unlock its potential so far this season".
Grosjean had two GP2 wins (+ won the GP2 Asia championship) in 2009 before he got promoted to the Renault F1 team mid-season to replace
Nelsinho Piquet.
