2006 World Series by Renault champion Alx Danielsson is aiming for the STCC in 2010. He's trying to get a partnership going with SEAT for his own team Danielsson Motorsport and is hoping to have two cars running next year, and he wants to be driving one of them. If they can't get that deal he's still aiming for the STCC in other teams. I'd say he would be pretty hot property for every team who doesn't have their seats occupied. Alx have previously ruled out driving touring cars, but I guess since he's not really getting any younger touring cars is a good option if you want to race anything at all. Smiley

Robin Rudholm, who finished third this year, doesn't have a contract for 2010 yet. The Chevrolet team is supposedly interested, and like Alx I think Robin won't have too many problems getting a seat for next year.

Thinking about it... Danielsson trying to get SEAT involved... SEAT pulling out of the WTCC.....

Alx Danielsson and Rickard Rydell in SEAT Leon's in the STCC 2010? Now that would be a team that would shake things up. Cheesy

Rickard Rydell has been visiting Flash Engineering. "We went to a hockey game, what else we talked about I don't see any reason to discuss", Jan "Flash" Nilsson said.

Flash Engineering are looking to expand in 2010. Last year they ran two cars in the STCC and one car in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia. This year they are looking at running five cars, with more cars in both championships.

They've got two new big sponsors (not yet revealed) and they are looking at having a staff of around 30 people during the races. That's pretty big when it comes to Swedish racing.

Thed Björk, Jan Nilsson and Rickard Rydell would be a pretty damn good team, with Björk and Rydell running for the championship and "Flash" watching their backs with some good old fashioned defensive driving.

Flash Engineering unveiled their 2010 plans today. Two 2010-specced BMW 320si's that Thed Björk and Jan Nilsson will run in the Swedish Touring Car Championship, Scandinavian Touring Car Cup and quite possible also the full Danish Touring Car Championship and the European Touring Car Cup as well. Pretty busy.

They will also run 3 cars in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia series.

If they keep on expanding at this rate I think we might see them in the WTCC in the future.

Oh, and the new livery is awesome!
